HOPE NOW was created under the encouragement of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Department of Treasury for mortgage companies, investors, counselors and mortgage market participants to help homeowners undergoing financial distress to stay in their homes.

HOPE NOW is a free service. Its main goal is to help you and others in distress avoid foreclosure.

HUD provides approved housing counseling agencies in your area to help work through foreclosure, credit and default housing issues. For a complete list of HUD counseling agencies click here.
