Auction Sales

If a HomePath property does not sell through traditional marketing efforts, Fannie Mae may remove the home from our retail inventory and sell via auction. We utilize multiple auction platforms (ballroom, onsite, online) so that we can reach the largest, most targeted audience possible.

These events are conducted by third-party auction companies and are held at various times and locations throughout the country.

Pool Sales

A pool sale allows investors and public entities to purchase multiple Fannie Mae properties in one transaction — consolidating the points of contact and the paperwork to offer on and close large volumes of properties. Pools may be geographically focused, subject to post-closing restrictions or consist of both vacant and occupied properties. Pools are limited to approved investors and public entities.

Structured Sales

Fannie Mae is implementing a structured sales program involving significant sales of real estate assets in the form of either pool sales or joint venture transactions. Any structured sales under this program are expected to be significantly larger than our existing pool sales described above. Sales of controlling equity interests will be limited to qualified investors. The Pre-Qualification Process is not an offer for the sale of securities or a solicitation of an offer to buy securities in any jurisdiction. Any such offer, solicitation or sale would be unlawful prior to registration or qualification under the securities laws of any such jurisdiction.
